JKSSB 26000 Vacancies in various Departments, Apply Now

Good news for unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir as the government has identified 26,000 vacancies in various departments for the current year.

These vacancies include Gazetted, non-Gazetted, and Class-IV positions. Most of the posts are in non-Gazetted cadre and Class-IV, with the rest being for Gazetted Officers.

Various government departments have conducted a detailed exercise to identify vacancies in different cadres, and the figure has come around to 26,000.

After clearance by the government, the posts will be referred to the Public Service Commission (PSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for recruitment.

JKSSB Released Mega Selection Lists for Various posts

Recruitment agencies will initiate the exercise for filling up vacancies only after receiving a detailed note from the government. The number of vacancies might go up slightly as some departments could revise the list in the next few days.

The General Administration Department will refer vacancies to the PSC and JKSSB by April 1, and the two recruitment agencies will initiate the recruitment process, which will be completed within the calendar year.

Similar processes could be taken up in subsequent years, with departments finalizing vacancy positions in March and referring them to the General Administration Department. All efforts will be made to fill the advertised vacancies within the same year with timelines fixed for written tests and other processes.

However, if some vacancies are to be filled up in emergency mode, they will be an exception, and the number of such vacancies will be minimal.

The filling up of over 26,000 vacancies in government departments in less than a year is significant and will help unemployed youth as vacancies pertain to all cadres, including Gazetted, non-Gazetted, and Class-IV positions.
