The notification for the recruitment of SI was released on October 21, 2021. Eligible and interested aspirants applied online from November 10 to December 10, 2021. The hall ticket for the CBT exam was released on November 30, 2022, and the exam was conducted across the Union Territory from December 07 to 20, 2023. The answer key has already been released on December 30, 2022, and it is expected that the result will be released in March 2023.

JKSSB SI Merit List 2023
The JKP SI Merit List 2023 will be released as the result of the Computer Based Test that was conducted from December 7 to 20, 2022. Only the candidates who have scored equal to or more than the cut off marks in the CBT will be shortlisted in the JK SI Merit List 2023.
Those who are shortlisted in the JKP Sub Inspector Merit List 2023 will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test, which is the 2nd stage of the selection process.

Selection process for the post of Sub Inspector consists of three stages, which are the following.
- Computer Based Test
- Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test
- Document Verification
The final selection list of 1200 candidates will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in CBT and PST / PET.
