Result of 10th class 2023 JKBOSE search by name: The government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a decision to provisionally promote 10th-grade students to the next class in order to prevent any academic loss. This decision comes after the conclusion of the Class X exam on Wednesday, where over 63,500 students appeared for the matriculation exam in soft zones of Kashmir.
This year, for the first time, the board exam was held in March, as the government shifted the academic session to March in line with the National Education Policy (NEP), last year in August.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of Education, stated that the government has always provided provisional admission to students, and this time too, it will be done. Until the results are announced, students will be promoted to the next class.
As per the ‘Uniform Academic Calendar,’ students who appear in Class 10 and 11 examinations shall be provisionally admitted to Class 11th and 12th, respectively, after the conclusion of the Board examination.
In the event that a student is declared unsuccessful, they will still be permitted to continue their studies in Class 11th and 12th until the result of the Biannual/Annual Private examinations is announced. However, if they fail to pass the Bi-annual examination, their provisional admission shall be canceled.
This year, 630 examination centers were set up for Class X students across the Kashmir division, with nearly 63,543 students enrolled in the exam in the soft zones of the valley.
Officials claim that the March session has helped to overcome many academic hiccups for the students. Previously, students who had to seek admission elsewhere had to face migration issues, but this time, students can seek admission anywhere without any problem.
The government plans to hold exams for hard zones, which are areas that are snowbound and inaccessible. Since access to the area is difficult during March, the government has decided to hold their exam separately. These students will also be given provisional admission and promoted to the next class.
